Foliot Furniture Green Initiatives
Nu Green
- Foliot Furniture now offers furniture constructed with Nu Green that may contribute to LEED points.
- NuGreen panels contain no added urea formaldéhyde resins.
- Nu Green panels are EPP certified (environmentally préférable product) by the Composite Panel Association.
- Nu Green panels contain 100% post industrial wood fiber
- Lead time – approximately 12 weeks.

Indoor Environmental Quality
EQ – 4.4 Composite wood products must contain no added urea formaldéhyde resins. = 1point
Materials & Resources
MR 4.1 The sum of the recycled content constitutes at least 10% of materials in the project. = 1 point
MR 4.2 the sum of the recycled content constitutes at least 20% of the materials in the project. = 1point in addition to MR 4.1
MR 5.1 Use a minimum of 10% of the combined value of construction materials and products, for which at least 80% of the mass is extracted, processed and manufactured within 800 km (500 miles) of the project site. Or use a minimum of 10% of building materials or products for which at least 80% of the mass is extracted, processed, and manufactured within 2400 km (1500) miles of the project and shipped by rail or water.

VOC's
Foliot furniture is aware that indoor air quality is a concern among consumers. As a part of our commitment to the environmental impact of our products, Foliot is currently pursuing GreenGuard certification for our laminated products. Our products currently meet the GreenGuard VOC emissions regulation of 0.5 mg/m3 total VOC and will soon receive GreenGuard certification.
